August 1, 1997 -- Allentown, PA. WeatherTrac Industries announced today that installation and training for a second system ordered by the Bangladesh Navy was completed on site at Chittagong Harbour Naval Base in Southeastern Bangladesh. This was completed during the 2nd week of July, in spite of the heavy flooding and Monsoon rains typical of the region at this time of the year. Largely through the efforts of their in-country dealer, ORBITRADE PTE LTD., this second system was installed, training completed , and the system commissioned for use by Bangladesh Navy personnel at the base. The president of WeatherTrac Industries, who was present for commissioning of the system, was most graciously treated in Bangladesh by his hosts at NHQ in the Banani region of Dhaka, at the Chittagong Harbour Naval Base, and by the principals of ORBITRADE PTE LTD.
While the second system was being commissioned, the signing of a contract to provide a third system for a Naval base in the Western region of Bangladesh was announced. Installation and training for this third system will be provided entirely in-country by ORBITRADE PTE LTD, who ably assisted with the installation and training of the first two systems.
