On May 23, 1997, SFWX, INC. changed its corporate name from SOFTWORKS, INC., a PA CORP incorporated on February 22, 1983. In recent years, SFWX, INC., d.b.a. "WeatherTrac Industries," has successfully delivered on the following multiple unit US military meteorological imaging system programs: MOSS-2 SAT System for the US Navy in 1991-1993(104 units), AFMIT System for the USAF in 1993-1994(60+ units), and I-MOSS SAT System for the US Navy in 1995-1996. "WeatherTrac" established success in these programs by being an early innovator in providing advanced features such as automatic Earth location of APT imagery with geopolitical overlays, automatic AVHRR temperature calibration, and simultaneous multi-channel background capture on low-cost ruggedized DOS platforms since 1990. WeatherTrac continues that tradition today by providing these and other innovative features on low-cost Windows-95 and Windows-NT based platforms in desktop, tactical and marine configurations.

A tiny company, operating in niches, Softworks, Inc. sales first exceeded $1 Million in 1993 with only 3 employees. SFWX, Inc. is a Close 'S' Corp. and is not a publicly traded corporation.

He was worked full-time for SFWX, Inc. since forming the company in 1983. Prior to that, he spent his salad days working as a senior development engineer in the turbomachinery division of a $2 billion energy-petrochemical equipment manufacturer, where he brought several microcomputer based data acquisition systems on-line in support of the rotating equipment development programs for which he was responsible. He earned his S.M. in M.E. from M.I.T., and his B.S.E., Magna cum laude, from Princeton University.
